1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III · RHD
A full-build rally project straight out of Anchorage — FIA cage, full motor build, racing livery. Built to race. Built to show.
The EVO III has been completely stripped down to bare metal. Every phase of this build is being done right — starting with safety, then performance, then aesthetics. No shortcuts. This is a purpose-built machine for both the track and the show floor.
The 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III is one of the most iconic rally cars to come out of Japan's golden age of AWD performance. Built to homologate for Group A rally racing, the EVO III represented Mitsubishi's most aggressive evolution of the platform at the time.
This particular car is a right-hand-drive example — as it left the Mizushima factory in Okayama. Being built in Anchorage, Alaska adds a fitting touch: cold-weather performance is in this car's DNA.
The goal is a dual-purpose build — competitive enough to attend racing events and track days, visually striking enough to hold its own on the show floor.
This build is just getting started. Follow along as the EVO III goes from bare metal to race-ready — every weld, every part, every milestone documented right here at Shaggie's Garage.
